About Farwood CEM Quarantine Center
Farwood CEM Quarantine Center has been serving horses and their owners since 2000. Our staffs' backgrounds and a lifetime with horses makes us uniquely qualified to provide the best care for the horses during their quarantine. We are committed to the highest levels of care, safety, and overall well being of the horses at the Center.
The horses’ general care, turn-out and exercise programs are provided by our small, experienced staff. We get to know each horse and their needs personally and your horse gets to relax in the consistent, personal attention.
We are a small, private facility and are able to invite and welcome owners and representatives to visit and exercise their horses during quarantine.
Located in the beautiful Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon just north of the California border. The Center is easily accessed from I-5 and is just 10 minutes from the Rogue Valley International Airport in Medford, Oregon, making it effortless for you or your representative to stop by for a visit.
The Center is a unique quarantine facility adjoining a 30 acre Horse Park with 3 outdoor arenas, an indoor covered arena, stadium jumps and x-country course. Custom exercise/work programs are available at no additional cost. Individualized care is our specialty! Some of our clients’ horses have gone straight to the show ring from quarantine release as they were able to continue their exercise regimen during the quarantine period.
Upon arrival at the facility, the horses are unloaded from the USDA sealed van and checked for general health and well-being. They are then hand-walked until settled and given a warm bran mash, timothy grass hay, with plenty of fresh water on hand.
